The video was built through the usual obsessive mixture of songwriting, character work, editing, generative imagery and AI-assisted animation. Rather than attempting a single seamless artificial world, the instability of the technology became part of the language of the film. Characters move through hallucinations, visual styles and contradictory realities before the whole thing erupts into an absurd rock-star fantasy, then quietly returns everyone to where they started. Mostly.
At it's core,
The accompanying film pushes that argument into vivid neo-Dadaist collage: torn paper, handwritten fragments, punk ephemera, surveillance imagery, impossible archives, malfunctioning rituals and the recurring REKursivMYTHOS cast, all assembled and animated through a deliberately messy combination of AI generation, editing, iteration and obsessive human direction. Rather than disguising the technology involved, the production makes it conspicuous, treating generative systems as another instrument in a larger process of songwriting, visual construction and world-building.
Ultimately,
The video became one of REKursiv NEMO’s most elaborate productions, developed through extensive AI-assisted image and video generation, editing, character continuity, world-building and an unreasonable amount of obsessive human intervention. Entire alien cultures were designed, rejected, redesigned and given competing philosophies; enormous civilisations were constructed simply to allow the camera to keep pulling backwards. The process became almost as recursive as the story itself, with each new image forcing another question about what existed outside the reality we had just created.
Beneath the comedy, Poor Little Planet is about perspective. Every civilisation believes itself advanced enough to judge, guide or control the one beneath it, until it discovers something looking down on them. Eventually all that apparent cosmic complexity is reduced to a shiny crystal found in the dirt by a child from a seemingly simple culture, who responds not with domination or analysis, but curiosity and wonder. It is funny, deliberately excessive and unexpectedly tender: a reminder that however sophisticated we imagine ourselves to be, we may still be very small things arguing inside something much larger.
Part experimental rock anthem, part psychological case file,
Presented through a fragmented archive of medical reports, witness statements, diagrams, recovered documents, and impossible observations, the song follows an unnamed subject attempting to understand a recurring phenomenon: vast columns rising from the ocean beyond the horizon.
Blending alternative rock, theatrical storytelling, surreal imagery, and AI-assisted visual experimentation,
The 'Columns in the Sea' video expands upon these ideas through a
Within the Burn-Ego framework, individual songs are rarely isolated works. Instead, they function as narrative nodes connected to a much larger web of recurring characters, locations, symbols, events, documents, and transmissions.
The phenomenon described in Columns in the Sea echoes through numerous other REKursiv NEMO releases and intersects with narrative elements found elsewhere throughout Burn-Ego. Certain characters appear repeatedly. Particular symbols recur across unrelated projects. Fragments of information emerge in one signal only to be expanded upon or contradicted in another.
Some of these connections are intentional.
Others may only become visible in retrospect.

The REKursivMYTHOS is the evolving narrative framework distributed throughout Burn-Ego's signal transmissions.
It is not a fixed story.
It is not a complete fictional universe.
It is not completely fictional.
It is not a puzzle with a final solution.
Instead, it is a continuously expanding archive of characters, symbols, locations, concepts, documents, observations, contradictions, and recurring phenomena. Individual songs, videos, artworks, articles, and transmissions act as narrative nodes within this larger structure.
Some nodes connect directly.
Others appear unrelated until years later.
Many remain unresolved.
This is intentional.
The REKursivMYTHOS is not being developed towards a final book, film, game, or encyclopaedia. It exists in a permanent state of evolution, expanding through every new Burn-Ego transmission while continuously recontextualising those that came before.
The material presented here reflects the REKursiv NEMO perspective on that wider mythological landscape.
At another level,
His most consistent manifestation is as the CCTV-headed figure that appears throughout the visual archive.Though his form may change, this iconic identifier acts as an anchor throughout the mythos.
The camera is not just a cool cybernetic head.
It is a function. NEMO observes, records and witnesses. Yet he rarely understands the full significance of what he sees.
Many transmissions suggest that NEMO exists simultaneously as an individual, an archetype, a witness, a memory construct, and a recurring signal pattern capable of manifesting in different forms.
Whether these interpretations are compatible remains unclear.

Recent observations suggest that these figures may not be separate individuals at all.
They may instead represent recurring functions within a larger system.

#REKURSIVARCHIVE

A psychedelic devotional satire in which Thoth/Djehuty, occult symbolism, mundane failure and nightclub absurdity collapse into several competing versions of reality.
A nostalgic but unsentimental love letter to obsolete computers, games and creative technology, using ageing machines as a metaphor for ageing people who stubbornly continue making things.
A darkly comic cosmic parable in which vast alien Custodians observe humanity’s self-destruction from above, only for the story to reveal that even they may be just another tiny layer inside something far larger.
A doomed maritime tale about a captain pursuing impossible structures beyond the known world and discovering something vastly larger than himself.
A confrontational collage-piece about artificial creativity, machine culture and the increasingly meaningless argument over where human authorship ends and technology begins.
A doom-ska collision of mortality, grotesque humour and absurd spectacle, eventually accompanied by what may be the world's least necessary penguin horn section.
An unusually intimate acoustic song about fatherhood, time and the painful realization that ordinary moments with your child are already disappearing.
A darkly comic song about aspiration, stagnation and the absurd distance between the life we plan and the life we actually manage to live.
A short hostile-comic burst about creative labour, self-promotion and the simple revolutionary proposition that artists would occasionally like to be paid.
A surreal dream-experiment piece in which altered states, strange imagery and recurring symbolic fragments begin to suggest that Nemo’s reality is part of something larger, effectively marking the first emergence of what would become the REKursivMYTHOS.
A vicious little punk-metal/circus anthem portraying consumer culture as mass hypnosis, where pills, bills, consumption, debt and emotional outsourcing become different expressions of the same addiction.
A deliberately ridiculous punk-metal anthem in which Nemo searches the internet for increasingly inappropriate surrogate father figures while the song gleefully weaponises bad cultural influences.
A collapsing psychological parade about continuing to participate in systems everyone knows are broken simply because the procession has already started.
A frantic experimental punk/metal song that begins as social complaint and gradually mutates into an unhealthy, strangely parental one-sided conversation with Nemo caught inside it.
A heavy, bodily piece built around physicality, survival, vulnerability and the uncomfortable machinery of being human.
A deeply personal song about loss, failed timing, meaninglessness and the corrosive realization that finding your place in the world can sometimes happen far later than you needed it to.
A sub-one-minute scream-core fever dream involving 1990s anime, mushrooms, AI, Duncan Trussell and a violently unhinged Pikachu-adjacent creature, created largely in celebration of joyful nonsense.
A cyber-industrial identity crisis visualized through a secret Japanese research facility conducting invasive cybernetic grafting experiments.
A hazy, affectionate song about cannabis and the profound psychological shift that can occur in the few moments between the person you were before the first hit and the person sitting there afterwards.
A collection of experimental electronic pieces exploring the quieter, stranger and more introspective corners of REKursiv NEMO, without becoming full songs.
